I can’t agree more. I’m in a program with lots of young colleagues, and this is one thing that really sets people apart. The complainers don’t generally make big changes, get recognized, or generally inspire the people around them.
Here’s a really simple mind-hack I use all the time : whenever I feel grumpy about work, I force myself to smile. As silly as it sounds, when you activate your smiling muscles, your brain is tricked (ever so slightly) into feeling happy. Smile :)

Tad- It is so true, the ones that complaining are the ones usually who aren’t willing to find solutions. Complaining is so anti-productive. Realize something is wrong or could be improved upon and find an answer, give a solution, inspire. QUITCHABITCHIN!
