On December 10 & 11 I will be moving my bed from Chicago to the lovely city of Milwaukee. My first night living in Milwaukee with be in January as I begin my new job (much more to come on that later). I will be sad to leave Chicago as I have had a wonderful year here but I’m very excited for the new stage of my life that will begin in Milwaukee. There are many new and exciting opportunities to come.
I've been living in milwaukee for 18 months. I'm not going to sugar coat it--it's not the flashiest city I've ever been to. (I reserve that for Shanghai, China) Even so, I'm excited by the fact that Milwaukee is on the rise. In many ways, the city is still trying to find its identity in a post-industrial world. See the prevalence of warehouses turned into condos as evidence of this trend. I'm excited to see what Milwaukee looks like next year and the year after.
