You're right. I can certainly understand why people would be hesitant to start a blog. For example, I used to worry about having [my name].com because it's a direct reflection of me, stored in history, publicly. Now, I'm glad I have [my name].com for the same exact reason. It's my voice. It's how I feel, what I think is interesting, etc. I don't worry anymore about having it out in the public, because it's who I am. It's a site that I control and anyone in the world can see - beautiful :-)

It's a shame when intelligent people don't share their thoughts. This day in age, when anyone can have a big voice, these people will get lost in the shuffle - and we need all the ideas we can get. That's why I agree with your post.
