My Dream List

image-representing-remember-the-milk-as-depictI recently got a pro account to Remember the Milk so that I could use their iPhone/iTouch application. This allows me use use that device for my to-do lists and view/work these lists from any computer. I now use RTM for my work to-do’s, my personal project to-do’s, and now other lists like Dreams, Things I Want, etc.

I’ve recently been working on compiling a list of “Dreams”. These are things that I’d like to do if I didn’t have to work everyday. Forming this list will help with:

  1. being productive towards actually live these dreams to a reality
  2. motivation to get to a point where 9-5 work isn’t a ‘have to’ but instead a ‘want to’

Having my dream list right next to my daily and weekly to-do lists forces me to see these things everyday. When setting any goal or dreams it is critical that they are in a place that you see them and are reminded of them often. This forces you to act towards those goals.

Here is my current list of “dreams”.

@Steve

Thanks for that quote, I definitely agree, and I think it's important to
realize that dreams and goals aren't to far apart!

Cheers,
Ryan

Something I once heard comes to mind when I read your dream list.
"Obstacles are those nasty little things that get in the way when we lose sight of our goals"
Remember that and pass it on.

awesome list, and in addition to Dave's comments about spanish tapes while moto-tripping across the CA state line.... remember that if you DO move back to San Diego - you can also revert back to the espanol bantor w/ me. Those were the days... am I right?

I did pay for the RTM pro acct. $25 for a year.

Well worth it.

Dreams lists are always an awesome idea. They keep you thinking big.

On an unrelated note, did you pay for an RTM pro membership?

I'm curious why you want to pay to fly the jet, would you not do it if it
were free?
Great dream.

Anyways, excellent dreams indeed. And pretty achievable - thus leaving room for more.

Someday I would like to pay to fly a jet. Last I heard it's about 5 grand...ick. Other than that, I want to invent something amazing. And probably make a good buck or two off of it.

You're a genius Dave. All in due time my friend.
Fencing is a classy sport and apparently a phenom work out.

I heard Mex, especially TJ is nuts right now. The drug cartels are getting
crazy with murders. Have you heard about all this?

now gravey train, if you moved from where you currently live to SD you could take care of atleast 3 of these in a week or two.
1. Drive to mexico, get on a boat and go to Todos Santos
2. Compete in a Triathlon with me and Jay
3. drive a motorcycle to SD (while listening to Spanish tapes)

and seriously fencing? why fencing? You might poke someone's eye out?
