How GLUE Got Even Stickier

A few months back I shared an awesome Firefox plug-in called GLUE. GLUE sits inside your browser and picks up data about what your viewing, what your friends are viewing, and shares that information with your contacts. The beauty behind GLUE is that it uses something called semantic technologies, which means that it find the meaning behind your communication with friends.

So, what’s new in GLUE?

1) You’ve always been able to ‘add your 2cents’ to an object and let people know if you like it, but now with that comment you’ve started a conversation around that topic. You can have full fledged debates if you like all within GLUE. As and example you can see here that after watching Slumdog Millionaire I though “bollywood is pimp”, now I’m just waiting for someone to respond. Did you dig Slumdog?

2) In the new GLUE you have an inbox so that you can follow these conversation closely and on time. Like always you can be on any site, anywhere, at anytime, and GLUE connects your web browsing (please don’t call it surfing) and your interests with the people you want to share it with most.

3) Finally, GLUE gives you a radar. In the new GLUE you can see exactly what is most popular with all your friends. You no longer have to ask or search for recommendations you get them automatically.

Summary:

Overall, I would say that GLUE is my number one most used Firefox plug-in. If I’m looking for books on Amazon or movies on RottenTomatoes I’m able to see exactly what friends are reading, watching, or recommending. GLUE is easy to get at getglue.com and downloads and installs for free in a matter of seconds.

If that’s not enough head over to Twitter and check out the @gluegenie. Almost everyday AdaptiveBlue is giving away products in exchange for your help in promoting and using GLUE. And, right now if you’re using the new GLUE you’re eligibleto win an Amazon Kindle 2.

Wow-
I feel like an idiot, I just got the iPhone app and it's amazing! I love the
ability to search by topic category!

Thanks Steffan.

Tim-

The diggbar does look pretty sweet. the whole digg.com/your URL here aspect
is pretty amazing. I'm sure I'll be using digg more with this new tool.

I dig ubiquity as well but because it takes a lot of setup I haven't used it
as much.

I'll have to try this out. I'd say my No. 1 Firefox plug-in is Ubiquity, though I've been using Safari 4 a lot lately. Have you used the new Diggbar?
